Volunteer Training

This is your chance to learn about the variety of Volunteer Opportunities available and begin helping HSCI and our pets in a way that fits your interests and schedule.
Age requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer independently.
Volunteers ages 8 to 17 must be accompanied by either a parent or guardian 25 years or older who is also a volunteer and must perform the same tasks.
Children under the age of 8 can’t volunteer at the shelter but can help the animals in other ways by collecting much-needed supplies to donate.
Cost
New volunteer training is $20 for adults. This $20 can also include 1 (one) child volunteer between 8 and 17 years old but both adult and child must attend the training in order to be able to volunteer together.
