Callie & Katy Dear HSCI, Thanks so much for helping me search for the right pet. You made a perfect match with me and Callie (formerly known as Chubette). I always thought I was more of a dog person and didn't want a cat because they were aloof. Thanks for convincing me to give Callie a try. She is a perfect match for me. She is one of the most social cats I have ever seen. She loves to be around people almost as much as she likes to eat. Callie's favorite spot is curled up on my lap purring happily. I don't remember how long she was with you. But I do remember that you told me she got picked on by the other cats in the cat room. It was to her dismay when I brought home a kitten, Katy. Katy, half Callie's size, "treed" Callie on top of the cabinets the first time I left them home alone and both out. Callie, probably because the food bowl was on the floor, overcame her fear of the little terror I had brought home. She now routinely boxes Katy's ears when Katy bothers her with her mischief. But in all honesty, they get along most of the time. Thanks SO MUCH!

Staff Note: Loved by people but bullied by the other adult cats, we took the extraordinary step of removing Chubette out of the adult room into her own space. Although this provided some peace for her, it made adoption more difficult. Anxious for someone to benefit from Chubette's puurrsonality, our staff often recommended her to visitors to meet.
