HSCI Pets Pet Sponsorship
Would you like to help a homeless pet but cannot adopt a pet at this time? Or perhaps you cannot adopt another pet as the case may be. Through our Pet Sponsorship program you can help us provide food, care, and housing for a pet while they wait for their forever loving home. Pet Sponsorships can be made for One, Two, or Three month periods. The monthly amounts for Pet Sponsorships are $10, $25, $50, and $100.
As an example of how the Pet Sponsorship works, you might decide to sponsor a pet for $25 for one month for a total of $25, or you might decide to sponsor a pet for three months for $25 each month for a total of $75.
Special Note regarding Featured Pets: A minimum $25 Pet Sponsorship is required in order to sponsor a "Featured Pet" on any of the Adoptable Pet webpages, since Featured Pets are located at the top of each webpage.
Pet Sponsorships can be made by an individual, or an individual representing a group such as a Girl Scout troop or Cub Scout den, a business or even the department or unit you work in. Pets can have more than one sponsor. Individuals may sponsor more than one pet at a time, however, businesses are limited to sponsoring only one pet at a time.
Pet Sponsorships can be made as a memorial, or in honor of someone, or even as a unique birthday gift.
For all Pet Sponsorship monthly amounts, your name will appear under the pet's picture and bio for the number of months that you select, unless you prefer to remain anonymous on the website. For a Pet Sponsorship of $25 or more, you will also receive a HSCI Membership and the HSCI Newsletter for a membership year. For a Pet Sponsorship of $100 you will also receive recognition in a HSCI Newsletter.
When selecting a pet to sponsor, select a "second choice" pet in case your "first choice" pet gets adopted before your sponsorship period is over. If the first choice pet is adopted before your sponsorship period is over, your name will be moved to the second choice pet. If the second choice pet is adopted before your sponsorship period is over, we will move your name to another pet to complete your sponsorship period. As an option, if you would prefer to let us select a pet for you to sponsor, that will be fine.
Complete the following steps to sponsor a pet. If you have never used PayPal before, no problem! Just follow the steps below and we will walk you through the process. Using PayPal is fast, free and secure! (PayPal accepts Master Card, Visa, and others.)
If you would prefer not to use PayPal, call our office at (309)451-1000 and pay by credit card over the phone, and remember to complete the Pet Sponsorship form (steps 6 and 7 below) so we know which pet you would like to sponsor. Another option is to visit the Pet Adoption Center to pay for the sponsorship and complete a paper Pet Sponsorship form.

1. Decide whether you would like to sponsor a pet for One month, Two months, or Three months. Then click on the link for the amount that you would like to contribute, either $10, $25, $50, or $100. After you click on the amount, the PayPal webpage will display. (If you receive a Security Alert message, select the OK button to proceed.)

Three Month Pet Sponsorship for $10 each month ( 3 months X $10 each month = $30 total )
Three Month Pet Sponsorship for $25 each month ( 3 months X $25 each month = $75 total )
Three Month Pet Sponsorship for $50 each month ( 3 months X $50 each month = $150 total )
Three Month Pet Sponsorship for $100 each month ( 3 months X $100 each month = $300 total )

2. If you are not a registered PayPal user, select the link for "Don't have a PayPal account?", complete the "Pay with Credit Card or Log In" section, and select the Continue button,

If you are a registered PayPal user, enter your Email Address and PayPal Password in the appropriate boxes, and select the Log In button.

3. Review the Payment Details to make sure they are correct.

4. Verify the Shipping Information to make sure the Ship to address is the place you receive your credit card bills.

5. Select the Pay button to process payment and wait until the "You Made a Payment" or "You have successfully signed up" window displays.

6. Select the Return to Humane Society of Central Illinois or Return To Merchant button to return to this webpage and complete the remaining steps. (If you receive a Security Alert message, select the Yes button to proceed.)
