Paws for a Cause K-9 Strut - September 2000 The Paws for a Cause K-9 Strut 2000 was a tremendous success. With beautiful weather on our side, we attracted more than 237 human participants and more than 100 four-legged ones to our 5K run, 5K walk and 1 mile walk. Overall we raised more than $8,500. More than $2,000 of our total proceeds came from the efforts of individual pledge solicitors. We are amazed at the amount of work people put in on behalf of the Humane Society. Without the help of our many volunteers and committee members, the Paws for a Cause K-9 Strut could not be successful. Thank you for your support.

This is one of our most popular events because your dog is invited to participate! There are trophies, prizes, snacks (for dogs and people), and much more. As you can see, this dog is ready to get going!

This was the third annual Paws For a Cause K-9 Strut.

The Paws For a Cause K-9 Strut is held at the State Farm Illinois Operations Center, in Bloomington, IL.

Come on out and join us next time! It's for a very good cause.
